Character Creation Rules
Starting Level: One
Ability Scores: Rolled. Your choice of 4d6 keep 3 for each stat, or a 24d6 pool.
Classes: All Paizo published classes and archetypes are open.
Firearms: Early firearms are available and prolific. There will not be advanced firearms.
Technology: There will be no material from the Technology Guide.
Races: All Paizo published races without HD modification. Prior to play your race selection will be verified by the GM. Though there is no technology available, I will be allowing Nanite bloodlines and Androids, but such things will not be understood, nor will the adventures on offer really allow a chance to explore them to a great extent. Alternate Racial Traits published by Paizo are welcome.
Hero Points: This campaign will not be using the Hero Point system. As such, it is probably in your best interest not to take feats that benefit hero points, seeing as you won’t be using them.
Mythic Power: Your characters will not have access to Mythic Power during this campaign.
Traits and Drawbacks: As per our usual set up, you are entitled to 2 traits. By taking an optional drawback, you may gain one additional trait, to a maximum of 3 traits and 1 drawback.
Starting Wealth and Gear: Your characters will start with one set of clothes consisting of plain light blue trousers, a plain light blue shirt, and well-worn leather shoes. You will have access to no other gear or wealth at campaign start. Each of you will have a surprise item given by the GM when we play. You probably won’t be trilled about it.
Character Backstory: Your character has no background. To your knowledge, your life functionally begins at campaign start. You will have no memory of any life before that moment, save your first name which you get to choose. Beyond that, the world is a mystery. The campaign may offer you a chance to discover your past, should you choose to investigate it.
